Greg Diamond, a jazz and Latin guitarist and composer who moved to Miami from New York, runs his weekly jazz series at Conventillo, the cocktail bar on 79th Street in the Upper Eastside, and this week he welcomes Gola on bass. Greg Diamond has a new trio album out called Beata. Gola plays bass at the Miami Jazz Jam that Fernando Ulibarri hosts on Mondays at Churchill's Pub. The two lean into soulful jazz and grooves with plenty of room to improvise. Conventillo's kitchen sends out fresh handmade pasta and pizza later in the night.
