Cucu from Ear Candy

Cucu runs the Thursday salsa night at Conventillo, the cocktail bar on 79th Street in the Upper Eastside. He founded the Ear Candy music crew and is the music director at Hoy Como Ayer, the classic Cuban music club on Calle Ocho, so he knows what gets a room dancing. He plays it all on vinyl, pulling salsa brava, boogaloo, merengue and Latin classics out of the crates. Conventillo's kitchen sends out fresh handmade pasta and pizza later in the night.
