Pantone opens its Color of the Year celebration to the public for the first time, for one day at the Rubell Museum Event Space in Allapattah to tell the story behind its 2027 color. The day mixes installations, workshops, talks and brand collaborations on how one color shapes products, spaces and materials. The Pantone Color Institute explains how the 2027 pick was made in a fireside chat called Why This Color?, and a closing panel with Pantone and its brand partners, Creating Your World Through Color, follows color from inspiration to everyday things. The Color Palette Workshop, How Does Color Make You Feel?, starts from the 2027 color and plays with contrast, temperature and proportion, and everyone leaves with a palette of their own. Panels are included with the free RSVP, and the workshop needs its own free ticket while spaces last.
