North Beach Social: Abstract Citizen

Rhythm Foundation brings Abstract Citizen and Black Nimbus to North Beach Social, the monthly meetup for Miami's music lovers that it produces at the Miami Beach Bandshell with support from the City of Miami Beach. Abstract Citizen is a Miami modern jazz ensemble led by guitarist and composer Aaron Lebos, a 25-year veteran of the city's jazz scene who tours with vocalist Nicole Henry and has written for Nu Deco Ensemble. He formed the group with younger South Florida players: Marty Quinn on bass, Vania Junco on vocals and Lucas Apostoleris on drums. Opening is Black Nimbus, a Black fusion band that blends live instruments with studio production. On-site activations come from Nom Nom & Co Japanese Snacks, Energy in Poetry and Raw Figs Figure Drawing, with a photo tent for pictures.
