Welcome to Wonder by Josh Aronson: Exhibition Reception

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens opens Welcome to Wonder, the first solo museum exhibition from Miami photographer Josh Aronson, with a reception at Vizcaya Village. Curator Helena Gomez and Aronson give opening remarks, and Aronson then stays by the installation to talk with visitors. The work is a set of site-responsive photographs placed along Vizcaya's North and South Hammock Path, about people and place, being seen and belonging. Aronson's photo book Tropicana is in the collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Library of Congress, and in 2024 he became the first artist to win both prizes in No Vacancy, Miami Beach's public art commission. Reception tickets include entry to the museum and formal gardens, and the installation stays up through May 25, 2027. Adult tickets are $7.18 and children 12 and under get in free, and the code ArtistGuest makes adult tickets free too.
