Debris Free Oceans teams up with MORAES and Earth Breeze for Plastic is Scary, a Halloween-themed environmental event at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park. Participants can collect shoreline litter and earn volunteer service hours, then join MORAES for a guided walk exploring the island's wildlife, coastal habitats and seasonal sea turtle activity. A costume swap lets attendees exchange gently used Halloween outfits and accessories. The event is part of Florida Climate Week 2026.
