A Conversation with Bayunga Kialeuka

The Miami-Dade Public Library System has artist Bayunga Kialeuka at the North Dade Regional Library to talk about The Firmament, Kialeuka's exhibition of large oil paintings. The work starts from how consciousness develops and looks at how family, geography, architecture, education, media, technology and social expectations shape a person's inner world. The paintings ask how much of what we call reality was handed to us and how much we put together through the act of looking.
