The Things Lab runs its monthly Things Swap at Artisan's Playhouse in Hialeah, a community swap built to keep usable stuff out of the landfill. Bring up to ten gently used items, no clothes or books, and trade them for someone else's treasures, or show up empty-handed and take things home on a pay-what-you-value donation. Between finds you can work on your own art, paint and glaze a mug, borrow a sewing machine, or sign up for a pottery or rug-tufting class at the Playhouse, with coffee and matcha from Little V's Cafe next door. Whatever is left over gets donated, so nothing goes to waste. It is part swap meet, part creative hangout.
