Trade Room Records kicks off The Live Room, a new monthly live-music series at Fruit Fly Records in Coral Gables. The vinyl-only jazz label builds the afternoon around live sets and records, with JRive Music and Lani B. Supreme playing live and selectors spinning jazz on wax between them. Trade Room runs on a simple idea, all rhythm and no algorithm, physical music over the feed, and the room is set up for hanging as much as listening, an informal session centered on the artists and the community around them. It all happens inside one of Miami's favorite record shops.
