MaalikMeets Book Club
Maalik Meets runs its monthly book club at Dale Zine, and November's read is I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou. For the month when families sit down to say what they are thankful for, Maalik picked a Black American woman telling her own story in her own words. The afternoon opens with arrival and conversation, moves into a guided group discussion and ends with open talk and mingling. Donations go toward building more gatherings for the community. The book club is free, with a pay-what-you-can option.
