Humanity Cares turns a Bayfront Park beach cleanup into a silent disco, handing out headphones so volunteers can pick up trash to a live DJ set from Miluhska, with coffee from Finca's to start the morning. It is Miami's piece of the 41st International Coastal Cleanup, the world's largest single-day ocean volunteer effort, run locally by VolunteerCleanup.org and Clean Miami-Dade across dozens of sites and thousands of volunteers. The focus here is the trash that gets trapped in the rocks along the bayfront, so closed-toed shoes are a must. Buckets, gloves, bags, and pickers are provided, and volunteers can log community service hours.
