Friedrich Kunath in Conversation with Klaus Biesenbach

DMINTI, the Nassima Foundation and ICA Miami host a talk between German artist Friedrich Kunath and Klaus Biesenbach at ICA Miami's expansion space in the Design District. Kunath was born in Chemnitz and lives in Los Angeles, and his exhibition I'll Romanticize This Later opens at the space the same day and stays up through January 22. Biesenbach is the director of the Neue Nationalgalerie and Berlin Modern. The conversation centers on Kunath's long engagement with German Romanticism and Caspar David Friedrich, and on how landscape, melancholy and the sublime turn up in his work next to American pop culture. It is part of the Art Basel Miami Beach week.
