Faena Art at Miami Art Week

Faena Art, the nonprofit arts arm of the Faena District, runs its Miami Art Week program across Faena Miami Beach from December 1 through 6, presented by Chase Sapphire Reserve. On Faena Beach, Abu Dhabi based American artist Christopher Joshua Benton's A Lore Supreme is a mirrored disco ball 27 feet tall and 44 feet wide, its 7,000 facets moving with the wind while speakers inside play music and stories gathered from Miami's salsa, disco, dancehall, house and techno communities. In the hotel's Cathedral lobby, Italian artist Marinella Senatore's An Expanded Baroque Crown is a lit crown you can walk into, with poetry, music and dance programmed with O, Miami. At Casa Faena, Miami artist Kevin Arrow's The Magic Is You! fills the atrium with images from his own 35mm slide archive of Miami Beach, part of the city's No Vacancy program.
