Florida Grand Opera's SongFest continues with Rhythms & Reflections, a program of Latin American art song at First Miami Presbyterian Church in Brickell. FGO artists sing works by celebrated composers from Argentina and Brazil through Mexico, Cuba and beyond, songs built on poetry, folklore, dance and national identity. The church's 1949 Mediterranean Revival sanctuary, designed by Lester Geisler and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989, is home to a congregation that has met since 1896. FGO traces its roots to the Opera Guild of Greater Miami, founded in 1941.
