Miamibloco brings Blocofest Vol. 2 to Churchill's Pub, a gala for the people that pulls Brazilian batucada into the Miami underground through percussion, live music and unexpected collaborations. DJ Kumi, Alexa Lash, MC Cuci, Bateria Saideira, The LAB and Electric Kif are on the bill. DJ Kumi opens with an Afro-Caribbean set, then Miamibloco runs a community percussion workshop where anyone can pick up a drum and join the bateria. Bateria Saideira, Miamibloco's community samba percussion program, plays with MC Cuci and then joins The LAB and Electric Kif for collab sets, with a raffle for BRABO Cachaça and Hop'n Spa prizes before Electric Kif closes. Ticket, workshop and raffle proceeds go to Miamibloco's Give Miami Day campaign. Early bird Blocohead tickets are $17.03 with fees.
