Salsa Z brings Yasser Tejeda to ZeyZey's Zaku Stage, one of the leading voices in Afro-Dominican roots music. Tejeda pulls the traditional rhythms of the Dominican Republic through jazz, rock, and wider Caribbean sounds, a blend that put his debut album Mesclanza on Acroarte's list of the 100 essential Dominican recordings. He has carried that sound to Carnegie Hall, the Apollo Music Cafe, and stages well beyond Miami, and Juan Luis Guerra has called him a "marvelous example of what's happening with Dominican music."
