collaboARTive hosts Noche de Arte, its free weekly art night at Gallery 100 inside the InterContinental Miami downtown. Each Monday brings a featured artist, light bites from the hotel and a hands-on collage table that needs no experience. September's artist in residence is Nelson Alvarez, a Cuban-born architect, photographer and educator based in Miami who works live during the night, so the room watches the piece come together. Alvarez studied architecture in Havana and took a master's in urban planning in Venice.
